Let’s gather, unplug and get back to using our hands.
Join artist and educator Alex Cole for Social Sketch—a relaxed creative session where you can unplug, play with materials, and enjoy making art just because. Bring a sketchbook/ journal, or use the papers and art supplies provided. Each session begins with a simple prompt to get you going.
No pressure. No perfection. Just space to explore.
Alex has been teaching art for over 25 years—across classrooms, studios, retreats, and community gatherings. Her philosophy is simple: everyone is creative, and making art is one of the best ways to slow down, tune in, and feel more like yourself. Her workshops are rooted in curiosity, connection, and a willingness to show up as you are.
As Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross remind us in Your Brain on Art,
“Engaging in creative activities actually changes your brain chemistry—releasing feel-good neurochemicals like dopamine, reducing cortisol, and helping you reset.”
In other words, art feels good. Come sketch, scribble, and reset—together.
